It is a well known fact that Instagram has over a billion users now and according to the statistics we have, Instagram launched on an iPhone in October 2010 and in 2012 they had 50M users and growing throughout the years. Can you benefit from the follow unfollow instagram method with this information?
If the Instagram platform has 1 billion users and you can follow-unfollow people as a strategy in the hopes of them follow you back and your follow back ratio mean the percentage of people follow you back is 10% to 20% you will be getting 20% out of a billion people if you manage to follow everyone via bot or by being very fast. 20% of a billion – 200.000 followers. That seems like a really good strategy, you can be the next Kardashian, you can be famous for being famous, okay, maybe not the next Kardashian but you can be the next world record egg.
This photo hit 3 million likes and hit the record for the most liked photo on the platform.
You can be the next world record egg with this strategy but there is a specific reason why follow unfollow on Instagram in 2020 works.
So let’s start with the issues of follow-unfollow because I really want you to consider the full picture.
The first issues with follow unfollow are actually the action blocks. Let me explain why. If you do follow and unfollow, action blocks will knock on your door like Tanus, it is inevitable.
The second issue with follow-unfollow is that it is not scalable. So before June 2019, you could follow thousand people or even more per day without getting an action block because the actions per day were higher but after June 2019 you could follow around 200 people per day so the maximum amount of followers you can grow is 20 to 40 if you follow people on a consistent basis and if they are targeted and if your profile is good enough and can convert the profile visits into actual followers.
Another issue is that it feels weird on a personal account.
Let’s say you are a business owner, you are just following people, it seems like you are a stalker almost, it is not perfect as a strategy.
Shadow bans. They are real. Fourth issue. That’s the magic number on Instagram, they last two weeks, 14 days, there is nothing you can do. Shadow ban means Instagram wont promote your content for two weeks, no hashtag reach, a very little bit of explore page reach.
The last issue is actually inactive followers.
So you get all these people that follow you, for example you are a girl, people follow you back but they will do it only because of your profile. They don’t care about you. That is not engaged followers, you will have ghost followers. They won’t participate in your newest content which means Instagram will think that your newest content is not good enough because it was presented to them but they didn’t engage. Therefore your reach sinks.
On the other hand, there are some positive sides to follow-unfollow that we should consider.
First, it is pretty much the only way to get 2.000 – 3.000 followers fast. And when you gain those followers you will get the second benefit which is ranking on hashtags. If you don’t have any followers you post a photo and you get 2,3 likes, you want a rank on hashtags but when you do follow-unfollow you get a few thousand followers, when you use some hashtags, then ranking would be easier.
Third benefit is ranking on the explore page. Especially if you are using hashtags that can help you because that can get you an additional amount of likes, engagement and then rank on the explore page without 2.000 followers it is very unlikely for you to start ranking there.
Another thing that is very crucial and it won’t work if you don’t use your analytics.
If you are getting 2 or 3 likes per post no matter what you do, you won’t be able to see the similarities or the over performing ones because you don’t have these. So when you have a few thousand followers from follow-unfollow that can help you to get the feedback you need from an audience to see what works and what doesn’t.
The question now is how can you follow-unfollow to get targeted people not some random ones. People that are interested in your niche.
Go to Instagram, type in a hashtag from your niche and you will see a bunch of photos, when you see someone similar to your content ,check their recent post and start following the people who actually liked this photo, post or video.
That way you are getting people who were active very recently and who are actually engaging in someone’s post. See, targeted followers. Pretty easy, huh ? Hope you enjoyed and hope I was useful with these tips on follow-unfollow in 2020. Sat safe, stay healthy and remember that a video a day keeps the doctor away.
