How to make more sales on Instagram via Instagram DM’s
Selling. In many cases I could say it is the solution to a lot of problems. I personally consider it like art, poetry, music.
In a time of crisis being able to sell something can be a difference maker and it can be the difference of being able to provide for your family and not being able to.
Let’s say that you are a business owner and you have a digital marketing agency like me and you’ve decided to niche down and only serve restaurants and you lost four clients. If you are able to sell your services to just one client, this can be the difference between closing the doors, closing the shop and staying open throughout the crisis.
Or, you were just fired from your job and having just one client paying even only $500 a month can be the difference maker to provide for your family. Even if it takes you a lot of time to provide for that client. Daily tasks. Not to mention that if you can sign up for a one point 5k up to 2k high ticket client, can be a life changer, so selling I would consider it art.

When we start the topic of selling on Instagram we get to decide what we are selling. A product or a service ? There are so many things that we should consider when it comes to those.
Product selling is like selling cups,chairs.
Service selling is selling Instagram management, digital management, graphic design. Developing, programming, creating websites.
Product or service- decide on that. Why should you decide on that ?
First of all, especially if you are running an Instagram page or Shopify store or an e-commerce business and you are taking payments online. When you take a payment online you need a payment processor like Paypal, Stripe and so on. A lot of people won’t tell you that payment processors hate services in general because it is really easy money laundering with them first, and second of all because it is really hard when it comes to chargebacks and chargeback rate is very high. If you are selling shoutout services on Instagram, your chargeback rate will be up to the roof. If you have 2%, which is not that much, for every thousand dollars, you will receive over $20 chargeback that’s not that high and you are already in trouble because it is 2% of your revenue.
Services get charged back a lot and it is really hard to prove whether or not you delivered the item/ service.
This is one of the main things you should consider when you are deciding whether you are going to provide services or products..
Also merching accounts on PayPal get closed a lot. If you do dropshipping of a product you will have money held because of the chargebacks.
One more thing that I should roll down is business strategy and customer acquisition. Are you going to sell high ticket or low ticket items?
High ticket items are expensive stuff, low ticket items- cheap stuff.
If you are selling expensive stuff you can basically spend more money to get a customer and this is the customer acquisition cost. ?
You buy a customer with your marketing and you sell a customer by providing him with a service.
If you know your numbers already when deciding what you are going to sell that would be very good. Especially when you are in a niche.
You need to have a niche. Why ? I had a client who could advertise his product directly on Instagram, what we had to do instead was figuring out what his audience is interested in. If that audience is interested in this particular thing we can advertise for, they are automatically interested in his market value thing.
You gotta know your niche, because based on that your efforts will be different.
When talking about how to make more sales on Instagram via DMs there are two main friends I need you to get acquainted with and those are stories and quick replies. How can you combine those two friends and why do you need them to start conversation. There is a basic principle. Negotiate from a position of strength not a position of weakness.
If you are going out to someone on their DMs and you are saying “ Are you interested in that? ” You are negotiating from a position of weakness because you are offering them something. If you make them want something from you and they approach you, you are negotiating from a position of strength
My strategy is to create Instagram posts, really good stories, quizzes, polls and stuff like that and based on the results I get on the post I start a conversation.
So lets say that I am selling toilet paper. I would say something like:
“ Are you interested in these babies right here? I know you have been running out of toilet paper. What are you gonna do when you go to the bathroom? You are going to the shower? No! You are going to use
toilet paper. So VOTE! Yes or No?”

So based on this “ Yes or No” poll we will start conversations with people.
If you are getting a lot of replies, a good amount of profile visits on your page and getting a lot of DMs.
How can you make more sales on Instagram with quick replies?
Go the one DM,preferably on the ones who vote for no and click this .
Hit the plus sign and you have a shortcut that can be “no answers” and the message : “ Hey, what if it is “buy 2 get 3 discount” ? “ Save it and you will automatically have this quick reply.

Another way is to actually go on relevant pages like yours and make it a habit when you wake up DM 20 or 30 people with the same quick reply strategy to start conversations with them.
